📢 Future of Siege of Syracuse & My first Sale
🔮 Future of Siege of Syracuse
Yesterday I released the first version of my Playdate game Siege of Syracuse on itch.io. The game was made for the Uncrank’d Game Jam and I’m quite happy with the result. It’s a simple game in terms of mechanics, you have to defend the city of Syracuse from the Roman army by destroying their ships using a mirror device created by Archimedes that reflects the sun’s rays. But I put a lot of effort into making the game look and sound good, and I hope I succeeded.
I’m planning to keep working on the game for a while longer, adding more waves, fixing the balance of the game (it’s terrible at the moment, I know), improving the performance on the device (there are some drops in FPS sometimes) and adding some more polish to the game.
So stay tuned for more updates on the game!
🙏 My first Sale
I’m also happy to announce that Siege of Syracuse is the first game of mine that someone has been kind enough to donate money to. I’m really happy that someone liked the game enough to do that, and I’m really grateful for it. I’m not sure if I’ll ever make a living from making games, but it’s nice to see that someone liked my work enough to donate some money to me. To the kind soul who did, thank you very much! 💕
